???Congratulations to Manchester City on winning the Premier League.
Your task is to work out the missing numbers in the league table. To do this you need to understand what the column headings mean.
P stands for number of games played. Half the games will be played at home, half away. Each team plays every other team twice, once at home and once away.
W is the number of games won. Each of these earns 3 points.
D is the number of games drawn. These earn one point
L is the number of games lost. These earn no points.
The first W is for home matches, the second for away matches. This is the same for D and L.
F stands for Number of Goals scored.
A stands for the number of goals let in.
There are two F and A columns, for home and away matches.
Pts stands for points. The team with the most points will be top of the table.
GD stands for Goal Difference. This is the total of all the goals scored (F) take away the total of all the goals let in (A). If a team has let in more goals than it has scored, this will be negative. If two teams have the same number of points, the higher position in the table goes to the team with the higher goal difference.
